Midwest Old Threshers Reunion expands 83 program lineup
Mount Pleasant hosts the 34th annual Midwest Old Threshers Reunion September 1–5 featuring steam power displays including threshing with a 12-horse sweep, antique cars, a narrow-gauge rail line, trolleys, and crafts. Performances by Loretta Lynn Mel Tillis and Reba McEntire join daily shows in a wide country music and living history weekend. Admission is five dollars for five days, children free, camping four dollars a day.
