Delaware County Hospital Joins Iowa Health Cost Group

Delaware County Memorial Hospital joins nine Eastern Iowa hospitals in Voluntary Hospitals of Iowa a first of its kind group. The alliance aims to cut costs by over two million dollars yearly through joint purchasing shared services and cooperative programs while keeping local autonomy and governance. Sam Wallace CEO of St. Luke's Cedar Rapids leads the nonprofit venture with ten member hospitals including Ottumwa Grinnell and Jackson County.
