Secretary Snyder urged the Senate Finance Committee to defeat the House passed bill cutting income taxes from 30 to 10.5 percent. He argued for studying the entire tax system with Treasury help, warning inflation and high deficits justify maintaining current taxes and delaying broad cuts.
