Catholic Rural Life Conference Pushes Farm Education Infiltration
Dr Paul Sacco of St Ambrose college in Davenport urged Catholic rural education reform at the National Catholic Rural Life Conference in Saginaw Michigan. He called for linking high school studies to farm living and noted only two of 233 Catholic colleges offer agriculture while many liberal arts colleges lack facilities. Father Joseph Wagner of West point Indiana described how infiltration of agricultural courses helps retain rural students and attract converts, arguing the approach reorients rural life toward the Church.
