Denver Archbishop to Address ACCM Convention
Archbishop Urban J. Wehr of Denver will preach the Solemn Pontifical Mass opening the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Men one day convention on Sunday November 9 at 9 30 in St Peter in Chains Cathedral. WCPO TV will televise the Mass. Wehr became Denver’s fourth bishop in 1931 and the first archbishop when the see was elevated ten years later. He has held roles including rector of Mt St Mary seminary Cincinnati and archdiocesan superintendent of schools. He was born in 1891 and studied at Holy Family, Xavier, St Gregory’s, and Mt St Mary.

Father Joseph Francis Sund longtime pastor of Our Lady of Victory Delhi Hills is buried in the parish cemetery after a Solemn Pontifical Mass led by Archbishop Karl Alter. He died at 78 in his 55th priestly year. Born Cincinnati 1874, he served at Holy Trinity Cincinnati and St Francis de Sales before his Delhi Hills posting in 1907.

Revamped ACCW To Represent All Women's Groups

Dedication Slated For New Church in Montgomery
The Church of All Saints Montgomery will be dedicated on All Saints Day November 1 with Archbishop Alter officiating at 9:30 a.m. Father Devitt said Monsignor Wag ner will preach and Monsignor Issenmann will consecrate the altar. The 112 by 46 foot stone building seats 366 in the nave and 24 in a balcony with possible 300 more seating as needed. The parish serves about 135 families, including 50 added last year, and Masses have been held in the new church since last Christmas with a school bus transporting children to St Saviour's school.
