The Sisters of Charity of Mt St. Mary to observe their centennial on March 25, anniversary of six sisters taking vows to Archbishop Purcell. Since 1852 they expanded from six members to about 1400 in 1952, operating 87 schools and institutions nationwide and serving in multiple dioceses and countries.

Archbishop Alter to Receive 1952 Rerum Novarum Award

ACCW to Hear Archbishop Alter at Middletown Meeting

Ice Capades First Friday Club Forms Devout Touring Group

John Labrecque leads a Catholic First Friday Mass and Communion effort for the Ice Capades troupe with Father Ellergy Sullivan coordinating confessions and travel to different cities. The program, started last September, gathers cast and stagehands for monthly Mass, with devotion growing from seven to about 25 attendees, featuring Donna Atwood as a key member.
