Dayton St. Anthony's To Begin New Church

St Anthony's parish of Dayton plans a new contemporary Gothic church and adjacent rectory on Bowen street and St Charles avenue facing St Charles. The project cost near 1500000 dollars with Lannon stone from Wisconsin and Indiana limestone trim. The parish, established 1913, serves about 1200 families and 900 students in its school.

Archdiocese to Lead Large Delegation at Family Life Conference

The Archdiocese of Cincinnati will send a large delegation to the National Catholic Conference on Family Life in Columbus March 24 26. A Pontifical Mass will be held at St Josephs Cathedral with Archdiocesan Archbishop Karl Alter presiding. The program features 80 plus authorities on Christian family life including child guidance experts and marriage counselors. Mrs Alfred Berger will address delegates on the home as the school of the Lords service and present new slides. Xavier University official C Glynn Fraser will participate in panels alongside Daniel Kane and Dr and Mrs Cornelius Kreke. Father Joseph Urbain and Grailville bid for involvement with Bishop Michael J Ready hosting.

Dayton Area Preinduction Courses Set

The first of several preinduction courses for young men eligible for armed services induction starts Monday March 10 at The Loretto Dayton.
