Cam Shelby Ne Diary Entry From Louisiana Camp
Dear Reader, after a week’s maneuver we camped in a pine forest near Flatwood Louisiana with several regiments. A free dance concert accompanied a short ball game refereed by Chaplain Wyandt. Local musicians Mullin Vincent Jones and Andis improvised three-part harmonies on saxophone and trumpets. A light drizzle shortened the show, and I remark on a Liberty cartoon about army rations. Good-night and thirty.
