Indiana Wisconsin football game draws local visitors in Bloomington

Mr and Mrs Eugene I Gardner and Mr and Mrs Kenneth Rhodes attended the Indiana Wisconsin football game in Bloomington Saturday and visited Dean Gardner after the game. Dean is a freshman at IU and serves in the Air Corps ROTC band this year. Both the IU and Wisconsin bands performed before the game and at halftime.

Balloon Derby Card Found in Missouri Wheat Field

Lowell Leisure found a bright red card attached to a balloon from a Balloon Derby in St. Louis on September 26. The card instructed returning it with the date found October 3, six days after release, and promised a prize for the farthest return.

Russell Reddick Dies Thursday

Russell Raymond Reddick, 68, died at 4 30 p m Thursday at the Jackson Nursing Home in Rushville. Survivors include daughter Mrs Maxine Riggs of near Carthage and son Eugene Reddick of Carthage, two granddaughters Dixie Gabbard and Rhonda Reddick. Funeral arrangements pending.
