St. Anthony Regional Hospital gains support from Bishop for a $7.5 million dementia care project. Groundwork has started at the site east of St. Anthony Nursing Home as construction begins on a dignified spiritual continuum of eldercare for rural communities.
The County Fair runs July 18 to 23 with 9 am gates and a Tractor Show. Sunday features Celebration Iowa Singers and Jazz Band from 4 to 6 pm, with Fair Hall of Fame Awards during intermission. Kids activities include a Mutton Busting Exhibition Saturday at 1 pm, followed by a Pedal Tractor Pull. Gate fees vary by day.
Area residents are invited to display quilts at the Quilt Show during the Carroll County Fair on Friday July 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. Best of Show wins a prize. Sponsored by Community Insurance Agency of Coon Rapids Bayard and Audubon. For information call 712-999-2288 or 1-800-657-5681.
