Idaho potato growers vote on advertising and assessment increase
Idaho growers will vote by July 15 on a proposed increase in the advertising and promotion assessment for the Idaho Potato Commission. The group cited rising costs and falling per capita consumption as justification and urged a yes ballot to fund continued campaigns. The referendum follows a 1970 legislative framework and notes industry shifts and freight cost pressures affecting competitiveness. Mr and Mrs Martin Ruggles have returned to Soda Springs from Menlo Park Calif.
