Each button costs $1 and serves as admission to all celebration events including the Club Chuck Wagon Breakfast and the Beef and Lamb Barbecue on Tuesday. Local scout troops and youth groups sell the buttons in a contest with prizes donated by merchants and the celebration committee.

An open-pit benefit barbecue will be held at the Hooper Pavilion Friday June 30 to support the eight mile recreation area. The event starts at 6 p.m. and runs while food lasts with entertainment provided by the Sodal Springs LDS Fourth Ward.
Idaho State University College of Liberal Arts releases Dean's List for the second semester listing students with a 3.0 GPA. Among those named are Brett Robert Hamblin and Ronald Evan Hughes from Soda Springs, Avon Gibson from Grace, and Kerry L. Phelps from Conda.
The Caribou County talent contest sponsored by Farm Bureau was held at the Ban snock Stake Cultural Hall in Grace on a recent Saturday. Winners were announced across divisions with local participants competing for prize recognition.

Bloodmobile visited Soda Springs Junior High School gym on June 1 as Caribou County failed to meet its 150 pint blood quota by 36 pints. Donors received pins for donations. community volunteers and merchants supported the drive. Fourth of July activities include a sidewalk sale on Main Street and street dances with bands Honey and Soul performing for all ages.
Mount Caribou CowBelles presented a memorial plaque to Caribou Memorial Hospital. Mrs Pearl Fryar hospital administrator accepted. The design honors late members and spouses with four names listed on the plaque.
