Forest tour highlights grazing, mining and heritage issues
A 50 member group including Caribou Woolgrowers and forest officials toured the Caribou National Forest. They studied elk and deer concentrations on the south slope, discussed grazing, land slumps from road and mining activity, and preservation of the Lander Trail. They noted open pit phosphate mining affects grazing, and officials outlined soil stabilization and drainage efforts.

Auto Crash West of Grace Damages 250 Dollars
On August 8 at 9 30 p m a 1965 auto driven by Milton Hamp hit loose cinders and lost control plunging into a bar pit and striking a log causing about 250 dollars in damage. Sheriff Ralph Marriott investigated the accident five percent miles west of Grace on a county road.
