Wm. Jacob of North Street announces the opening of a modern grocery in the Frederick block east of the Big Four around March first. The building will be remodeled after lease expiration and a 40 by 60 foot cement block warehouse and garage is under construction behind the store. Jacob plans a self serve style with a full line of new goods at low prices and strong service. Joseph Starr traveled to Washington to attend the Arlington cemetery burial of his brother George Starr. George, 22, died in Neuenahr Germany in 1919 serving with the 150th World Artillery Rainbow Division. Red Cross provided flowers for the graves as services were held with military honors.
