Fire destroys shed at Snyder Lumber yard
A storage shed at North Patterson Street used by Snyder Lumber Co. burned on September 15 at 9 45 p m and was a total loss. Eighteen volunteer firefighters responded. A second fire at the Jack Walter farm on Shu man Road September 16 at 2 50 p m required twelve volunteers. Cause unknown.

Wyandot County Fair Attendance Reaches Excellent Levels
Gate sales totaled 3 976 for the day a figure 500 higher than last year and far above 1964. First four days single admissions reached 11 758 beating 1965 and 1964 totals. Grandstand daytime and nighttime sales lagged behind last year due to cool weather. The fair closed with a sheep shearing contest won by Robert Welch of Richwood scoring 97.0 with trophy from Hendricks Wool Co Carey and a strong field including Clifford Scott of Sycamore and Jim Dudgeon of Mr Vernon.

A four car rear end crash at State Route 53 and US 224 near Tiffin at 10 21 p m Friday Sept 16 sends five people to area hospitals.
