Leonard Brandts Win Five-Day Jamaica Trip

The Hayward Distributing Company of Columbus Ohio announces Leonard Brandt and his wifeGenéva have won a five day all expenses paid trip to Jamaica for excelling in Bolens Outdoor Power Equipment retail. Donald Lynch seeks annexation to extend village utilities east of Carey with a proposed 6 inch water line and 8 inch sewer line in a common trench. Carey Ohio hosts a Food Fashion Fair cooking school on October 18 1966 at Carey High School Auditorium starting 8 00 pm. Rhodes Addresses Wyandot County Rally for Ohio Growth

Governor James A. Rhodes spoke to a capacity crowd at the Evergreens Restaurant in Wyandot County as part of his two week campaign tour titled Report to the People. He touted new jobs and cited ten new manufacturing firms since January 1963 and unemployment down from 3.2 to 2.3 percent.

First Tanner Family Reunion Held on Sept 25 1966

Mr and Mrs Dale Tanner and daughter Kara Lynn hosted 44 dependents of Fred and Julia Tanner for the first Tanner reunion. New Life Mission at First Methodist Church Focuses on Filling Pews

Reverend George Gill Hunter III, staff evangelist with the General Board of Evangelism, speaks Oct 27 and was raised in Miami Florida. He earned degrees from Florida Southern College Emory University and Princeton Theological Seminary. He joined the Board after pastorates in Dade City and earned early honors at Florida Southern including Honor Walk 1960 Who's Who and various student leadership roles. Death of Paul Secrist at 76 in Wharton

Paul Secrist 76 of Wharton died at 10 53 am yesterday in Blanchard Valley Hospital where he had been a patient since Sept 3. Born Sept 6 1890 to George and Ida Secrist he married Fairy Bristoll Sept 7 1913 who survives. Also surviving are daughters Caroline Stephan and Margaret Price both of Wharton eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was a retired farmer and operator of a gasoline station and a member of the Methodist OK Church at Wharton charter member of the Lincoln Grange and a member of the Wharton Liots Club. The funeral will be at 2 pm Friday at Bristoll Funeral Home Carey with burial in Wharton Cemetery.
