Tong Family Reunion Held At B Tong Grove
About two hundred relatives and friends gathered for the fifth Tong family reunion at B Tong grove four miles west of town. Pleasant weather and a threatened war altered plans but a sumptuous picnic dinner followed by an officer election. Hayes Tong was chosen president, Scott Tong vice president, Ernest Beck secretary, and Rufus Coldre treasurer. The next reunion will be at the same location with time to be decided.
