Reunion of Co F Ninth OVC Held at Karr Farm
The twenty sixth annual reunion of Co F Ninth OVC met September 23 at H W Karr east of Crawford. Attendees included Lt E L Mann, cousin Gov Mann from Upper Sandusky, and many veterans and wives. A royal welcome, relics, dinner, songs, and tributes followed the gathering with plans for the 1909 reunion in Sycamore.

Mrs Amelia Ward Dies After Paralytic Stroke
Mrs Amelia Ward died Wednesday September 23 at 9 30 pm at the home of her daughter Mrs W A Smith aged 80 years 6 months 11 days from a second stroke of paralysis suffered the prior Saturday She was in failing health eighteen years since a former severe paralytic stroke Born in Boston she lived in the East before moving to Carey twelve years ago She was twice married and her daughter Mrs Smith is from her second marriage Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at two o clock at the Lutheran church Rev EB Spaide officiated reading Psalms 23 90 and 1 Corinthians 15 He preached from Our Friend Lazarus Sleepeth A quartet with Ruth Ewing sang interment was in Spring Grove cemetery Pallbearers were H A Kear E B Kurtz Sylvester Shawan Lee Ogg Herbert Bixby and H A Chambers

Death of Mrs Cynthia Wonder Hevelone is noted
The Blue Springs Nebraska Sentinel reports the death of Cynthia Catherine Wonder Hevelone a former Adrian resident. Born February 23 1841 in Seneca County Ohio she was 57 years 6 months 13 days old at death. She married Sylvester Hevelne in 1873 and leaves eight living children all in Nebraska except two abroad. She moved from Ohio to Blue Springs in 1880 and was lifelong member of the United Evangelical church.

James T. Ewing a former Adrian resident died suddenly at his Toledo home on Monday September 21. The body was sent to Fostoria for burial with funeral services in the M E church there. Relatives from Adrian attending included Flem Ewing Sue Emmit William Ewing Miss Sadie Ewing Fred Ewing and Mr and Mrs J C Wehrle.

Miss Lulu Zeis of McCutchenville died last Friday of tuberculosis after an attack of La Grippe. She was seventeen. Sister of Dr. I N Zeis. Funeral Sunday at ten at her home near McCutchenville. Sheep Die After Water Source Suspected On Fox Farm
Twenty seven sheep owned by John A Fox on the Laura Stevens farm south of town died last week. They drank from a long unused well and initial reports blamed water quality. Dr H Myers, the local veterinarian, believes arsenic poisoning may be the cause and the method of its reach remains under investigation.
