The senior class presents Growing Pains a comedy of adolescence directed by Miss Helen Smith on Friday May 21 at 615 pm in the high school auditorium admission 20 and 30 cents The play follows George Terry and neighborhood kids through ado adolescence with a bright hopeful ending The baccalaureate service is set for Sunday May 23 at the Methodist Episcopal church with organ preludes readings and a sermon by Rev Paul R Clouser and Rev Marion Tinsler leading the service.

Seven Deacons to Be Ordained at Toledo Cathedral

Carey high school scholars scored strongly at Bowling Green with 23 team members out of 30. Mary Elizabeth Haford won first in small schools English 10th year. Betty Hamlet second in 9th year English. John Jacoby and Donald Wenner placed fifth and seventh in American History. State results gave Haford fourth in small schools. honorable mentions went to Hayman, Hamlet, Ziebarth, and Krout. Carey 8th graders scored 170 of 200 to place first among 62 entrants.
