Mr and Mrs Wilfrid L Logsdon Route 2 Uarey received telegrams from the adjutant general in Washington that their son First Lieutenant James R Logsdon had been released as a prisoner of war and returned to military control. He was reported missing in action in Italy November 5 and captured in December 1944. he served as a B 26 fighter bomber pilot arriving overseas in July 1944.
