Unusual Morel Mushrooms Displayed At Local Station

The 1935 spring pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation opens Saturday May 18 and runs to Sunday May 26 with High Mass each morning at 8 and prayers in the afternoon at 2 30 and at 7 45. Special processions are planned for Sunday May 19 at 3 00 pm Thursday May 23 at 9 00 am and Sunday May 26 at 3 00 pm with pastors from a 50 mile radius and their parishioners expected to attend.

The Carey Big Four Booster club held a ladies night Tuesday with a 6:30 dinner in the Colonial rooms of the Galt Hotel. Floral decor from Carey Flower Shop. J F Dible funded a frozen dessert. Mrs Nelson Turnbell prepared the dessert and baked the cakes, covered by Dible. Sixty five members attended, including L A Champ and Mr and Mrs C Ewing. A Kenton foreman brought an 8 piece railroad orchestra for dancing. Rita Brown and Halle Turnbell sang with Marjorie Kramer at piano. Committee members led by R B Hamler organized the event.
