Commencement is Tuesday May 28 at the high school auditorium with Dean Clyde Hissong delivering the address and diplomas conferred by Dr W N Johnson. Admission is free.

First graders received their Holy Communion at the 7:30 Mass led by Rev. Paul Vollrath with Deacon Rev Cyprian Terwoord and Sub-deacon Fr Wynand. Mayor S H Krebs rescued 3 year old Betty Mundy from Spring Run on South Street last Friday after a boy pushed her into four to five foot deep water. He leaped from his shop across the street and grabbed the child’s clothing just before she vanished into a tunnel. Both were unharmed.
