H Snyder and Dr. I N Zeis visited Columbus to confer with Mr Morgan chief building inspector about changes required in the school building. Officials believe modifications can be made more economically than the deputy ordered details previously. A deputy will be sent to review the matter.
The Arlingtonian notes the Carey Exponent suspends after a fragile year of operation. The Old Times, under Bro Thrall, had strong reader support that made the transition difficult for the new paper. Thrall is praised as a capable journalist.
Garey High School holds its twenty first annual commencement on Wednesday evening May 20 at eight o'clock in Snyder's Opera House. Admission is twenty five cents for reserved seats, on sale from May 18 at seven o'clock at D Ewing's drug store. Music by Heidelberg University quartette from Tiffin plus various orations, class history, and diploma presentation. the baccalaureate sermon will be preached next Sunday night at the Lutheran church by Rev C F M Greene.
The gathering at the library assembly room, led by President Amos Nye and Secretary Mark Karr, invited speakers and invites. Music will be provided by the Carey Fire Department band and Carey Male Quartette with William Zahn operating the lemon ade and ice cream stand. The picnic is set for Thursday June 11 at the same place as last year with another planning meeting on Saturday May 23.
The W C T U held its regular meeting Friday afternoon May 8 with large attendance. Mrs. Wonder led devotionals and members presented literary talks on purity in literature and art and the responsibility of a father.
The democrats of Carey corporation will meet Friday May 15 between 7 and 8 p m at precinct voting places to appoint one delegate from each precinct for the democratic congressional convention in Tiffin on Tuesday May 26. Precinct A meets in the mayor s office and precinct B in the library assembly room. William Zahn Ed Riester committee.

Harpster high school starts next Friday with six in class. Aaron Etershberger, 72, earns license to marry Julia Butler, 62, of Toledo. nuptials planned on a Sycamore farm Wednesday evening.
C C Anderson of Fostoria, mayor, visited last Friday to pursue the Democratic nomination for Congress. A public spirited citizen, he has promoted Fos toria's growth and is regarded as a capable organizer and leader.
Mis Florence Smith and Miss Mae Mullboland will travel to California in early June. Smith plans to visit her aunt Mrs Ingham in Mountain View while Mullboland will visit relatives in the state. Length of stay not yet determined.
