A. A. Riedel's barn was the scene of a horse theft attempt Friday night around nine. Morris Cavanaugh fired a warning shot when a man tried to lead the Stallion named The Colonel from the barn. thieves fled, later moving the horse to Frank Klais’s locked stall. The intruders left marks on the door and lock, but no clue was found.
