Carey High School 1933 Commencement Exercises Set for May 16
The forty sixth annual commencement at Carey high school will be held in the school auditorium on Tuesday evening May 16 at 8 PM. Dr Raymond W Smiley of Steubenville will deliver the class address. The program includes songs by Misses Buckingham Allen Reade Gilbys Haford, a school sextet directed by Millicent Warren, and the school orchestra performing two numbers. Rev Paul Vollrath will give the invocation and benediction. The class of 1933 has 40 members, making it the third largest in the school’s history. Baccalaureate services will be held Sunday evening May 14 at the Methodist church with Rev Paul R Clouser of Christ Lutheran church delivering the sermon.

Vacation Church School Opens Fourth Week
The Vacation Church School starts its fourth and final week with sessions Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Worship runs 10:00 to 10:20. Farm Prices Rise While Others Fall
Farm prices in the United States rose 6 percent in 30 days to the highest since last September with buying power up for farm products. Ohio State University extension economist R Arnold notes gains mainly in grains fruits and vegetables while meat poultry and dairy prices lagged and feed costs rose. Wheat at 58 cents marked a two year high, oats and corn up from a year or more, hogs cattle and veal calves fell versus last year.
