Top Seniors in Scholarship Named for 1951 Commencement

The school honors the top seniors with names and ranks for the 1951 commencement. Sally Jaster is valedictorian after ranking first and joining the National Honor Society. Faye Adelsperger is salutatorian with NHS membership, followed by eight more seniors in class order. A double star marks Ferne Adelsperger and Ronald Van Buren for NHS membership.

Language Club Trip To Toledo Excites Students

The Language Club chose a year trip over a banquet. They toured Union Station in the morning with a guide who explained train models and switch boxes then visited a museum and learned about modern art in the afternoon.

Y-Teens Swim Meet at Findlay YWCA Ends with Hamburgers

On Thursday evening May 3 the Y-Teens swam at the Findlay YWCA. The girls performed diving exhibitions and held races to determine the farthest swimmer. After the event everyone enjoyed hamburgers at Wilson's.

Sports Day Held Saturday April 28

The annual Sports Day occurred on Saturday April 28 with events across track field and school grounds. Participants from multiple grades competed in sprint distance running long jump and relay races amid attendance by teachers and families.

Softball Commission Formed by Carey Park Board

Carey Park board formed a softball commission to govern all teams and games at the park. Members are Arch Donelson Ed Pahl and Carlton Jones. The group set eight rules to guide play and scheduled a Friday night meeting at the municipal building May 11 at 8 00 PM inviting managers sponsors umpires groundkeepers and publicity managers.
