Burlap Windbreak Used In Onion Field At Carey Findlay Road
A newcomer bought 2100 feet of 25 inch burlap for an onion field at King's corner along the Carey Findlay road. The burlap will be stretched on posts eight to twelve feet apart and cross the field at intervals to reduce muck soil drift. This windbreak method has been employed on the Scioto marsh for some time. The wind loss in onion fields comes from soil drift whipping the plants rather than seedlings being uprooted.

Fatal stabbing case shocks Findlay area family
A feud between Joe Angeloni and his son over a relative’s birthday ended with James Pishioneri stabbed multiple times in a Findlay home. Pishioneri, 39, suffered a lung puncture and abdominal wounds. he remained in critical condition at Findlay hospital. The Angelonis surrendered after hearing in Mayor Krebs court and were jailed on an open charge. Pishioneri’s condition improved slightly by morning.
