The Carey Akivian luncheon featured Rev W F Martin in charge and Father A M Fish presenting a talk on law. He traced legal ideas from Roman times, noted divine and natural limits, and explained penalties and conscience binding. Johnson of Upper Sandusky spoke briefly. next Monday Hocking Valley officials visit. pianist Roger Lindsay to play. Johnson won the day’s prize.

Students Stage Kid Party Worthy Of A Cheerful Night

The C H 8 high school auditorium hosted a Kia Party by the girls on Wednesday evening April 30. The event featured the girls dressed as children with dolls and games simulating 10 year old kids. Refreshments were served and the attendees enjoyed themselves greatly.

Students Fill Wallspace With Art Exhibition at New High School

Miss Bonnie Stroud of the Cleveland Colonial Art Co. presented reproductions of masterworks and modern paintings for students to purchase. Seniors bought Silver Moon by Alexandria, juniors chose The Avenue of Trees by Holhenns, sophomores selected Birch Bend by George Innes, and freshmen picked The Capitol at Washington. Students are congratulated for fulfilling this need.

Sophomore Sewing Class to Stage May Style Show

The sophomore sewing class presents a style show Friday evening May 16 in the high school auditorium. Period costumes illustrate the link between past and present designs and reveal discarded styles. Classroom garments will be exhibited and the Girls Glee Club performs ensemble pieces, quartettes, and duets.

Carey poised for another county track sweep on May 17

Carey led last year and appears favored to win again at the county meet. The winning school will claim the cup for a year, with Carey earning permanent possession if he retains the title. Support the track team and aim for victory.

Carey High Seniors Win Inter Class Track Meet

Carey High seniors take first with 78 points in the inter class meet on Tuesday afternoon. Sophomores place second with 71, juniors 33, and freshmen 8. A Huston top scorer with 24 points and multiple event wins across standing high jump, mile run, relay, discus, and more among sophomores and seniors.

Bradley sweeps events in base and field at meet

In a mixed college meet, Bradley dominates with Sen. Bradly winning baseball throw and javelin. Brashares and OgE place in multiple events while Wentling and Patterson claim top spots in girls events. Huston and Twining lead in running and vaults with strong showings from Wentling Wisner and Gardner. Distances include 319 feet in distance throw and 149 feet in javelin.

Spring Pilgrimage at Our Lady of Consolation Opens May 17

The spring Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Consolation runs May 17 to May 25 with peak crowds May 18 May 22 and May 25. Daily services include high Mass at 9 45 am prayers at 3 pm and benediction at 7 30 pm plus multiple processions and candle vigils. Local parishes including St Nicholas Wyandot Carey Upper Sandusky Kirby and Salem join the events led by Dean Francis L Hultgen.

Summer Vesper Service and Congregational Meeting At Luther Church
