Rev W F Martin of Carey was chosen president with Rev W N Miller of Nevada as vice president and A McQuate of Upper Sandusky as secretary and treasurer. Reverend W H Thompson of Granville gave an address on the Rural Church.
The Sandusky and Carey districts of the Big Four claim prevention work were consolidated and a meeting held Friday at the freight office. Attendees included R. N. Carter of Tiffin chair, A. C Reckinger of Sandusky, Clem Looker of Kenton, C M Ewing of Forest, and C W Welsh of Findlay.
Local singer Mrs Harrys Hunter of Columbus will air her original song My Radio Sweetheart Somewhere under the name Elenore Bitter Hunter on Dispatch Broadcasting Station WBAV. The broadcast is set for Friday evening May 16 at 8 o clock, and many local friends are expected to listen.
Mrs H H Gault purchased 18 kindergarten chairs for the new Whited Brethren church primary room and earned the $30 cost by selling candy on commission.
Miss May Mullholand has been appointed school enumerator by the board of education. This marks the first time a woman has served in that capacity in Carey.
The Knights of Pythias will hold a county convention at their hall next Tuesday evening May 20. All Knights are urged to be present for the gathering.
Jacob Hilty son of Christian and Magdalene Hilty born Aug 7 1859 near Bluffton Ohio died May 9 1924 in Carey Ohio aged 64 years 9 months and 4 days. Survived by widow four sons Robert Mark Charles Frederick deceased Harold and Thomas Hilty one daughter four grandsons. Funeral at home conducted by Rev W F Martin with burial in Maple Grove Bluffton.

The Jennie Larmonth Missionary Society will meet Monday evening May 19 at the home of Mrs Russell Gottfried. Mrs Low will be the leader and Mrs Walter Gottfried and Miss Edith Davidson will assist as hostesses.

The Big Four runs an excursion from Sandusky City to Carey on Thursday May 22 for the Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation pilgrimage. Train arrives Carey at 8:30 am and stays until 11:20 pm.
