In Mt Blanchard the measure to centralize the district’s schools passed by a clear margin. Village residents voted 75 to 19 in favor and township voters 31 to 13, totaling a 74 vote majority for centralization despite opposition in Amanda and Jackson townships.

H W Powell of the Majestic theater attended a Columbus meeting at the Neil House with moving picture theater owners and Anti-Saloon League members. The group planned methods to legalize Sunday picture shows as a recreation alternative to closing saloons. Conference advocates that Sunday films be adopted statewide by November election.
Marguerite Stombaugh aged 13 and her brother Wilfred 10 played at their home when Wilfred pricked her eye with a sharp stick. The eye ball was removed. Marguerite was taken to Dr Harbert's private hospital at Bellefontaine on Thursday. The operation followed and she was expected home Saturday.

Bristol owns a Wharton garage and his wife has worked as bookkeeper at Gottfried Bros tin shop for four years. She plans to return to Carey to help at the store and her sister Margaret will take the position after school ends.
The Salem baseball team starts its season next Sunday against Arlington’s last team. Manager Wentz aims to recruit Henige of Toledo as catcher for the opener. Orians and Ulrich will pitch, with the rest of the squad ready to provide strong support. game begins at 2 PM at the Salem ball diamond.
