Boy Scout Training Courses Start April 25
Fathers of Scouts teachers and all men interested in the Boy Scouts are invited to attend three training courses in Scouting at Christ Lutheran parish house starting Thursday April 25 at 8 00 p m. Arthur S Brooks scout executive will lead with local leaders. The program surveys Scouting principles and boy activities and shows how Scouting builds character and citizenship. Demonstrations and leadership training plus an overnight camp are planned. Courses are free and directed by Supt L Arnholt.

House Fire on Base Line Road Destroys Home
Fire destroyed a Base Line Road house owned by Mrs. Whitaker and occupied by Mr and Mrs Samuel Risner and family. The stove pipe caused the blaze, forcing the family to flee with their lives. Mr Risner rescued his wife from a window while Jake Hall suffered burns to head and arms. Contents were a total loss with no insurance.
