William Heistand of Findlay has become factory accountant at the Carey plant of Porcelain Products Inc. He succeeds Richard Jarrus who left March 1 for Fremont. Heistand, a Findlay College graduate, was a cast analyst at National Automotive Fibres for four years. he is married with four children and plans no immediate move to Carey.

Carey Jaycees led by Donald Wilson and Charles Heck attended the Ohio Jaycee all-state meeting at the Commodore Perry Hotel in Toledo. Five Ohio outstanding men were named at the noon Sunday dinner with Hugh McKenna delivering the keynote. The Carey unit earned the Operation Civic Service Award for community work and Wilson received a certificate for presiding over 52 Ohio Jaycee clubs.
