A consignment of Delta line power equipment was delivered to Paptic School for the industrial arts and farm shop, purchased through Freeman Supply of Toledo. The shipment includes a scroll saw, shaper, wood lathe, drill press, band saw, arbor saw, jointer, and accessories. The board notes prior improvments and plans further upgrades including lockers, microscopes, typewriters, sewing machines, and more.

Dininger is a niece of W H Sloman and of Mrs Nora Brashares and Cyrus Sloman, all of Carey.

Moser Pledged to Tau Delta Sigma at Toledo Campus

Miss Geralda Mae Moser, a freshman medical technical student at the University of Toledo, has been pledged to Tau Delta Sigma sorority after three weeks of rushing. Burley’s 2 Hour Stage Show Returns May 2 at High School

The Methodist Epworth Leaguers earned second prize of 10 dollars for their presentation of Fred Eastman s The Doctor Decides at the Findlay Fostoria drama festival last Sunday. The Carey community faced a severe cold snap with a three above zero reading and 30 mph northwest blizzard Monday. Tuesday plunged to six above as the storm raged Sunday afternoon, ending milder winter weather last week and bringing widespread inconvenience.

H. E. Wyatt Not On Wrecked Train

Mrs. H. E. Wyatt, wife of a Ravenna arsenal carpenter, received a Tuesday forenoon message from Mr. Wyatt confirming he had not been aboard the derailed passenger train. The incident sent 10 freight cars and four passenger cars off the tracks during unloading, injuring several hundred people.

Friends Cut Logs for New Heck Home

Twenty four members of the Carey Community club assisted Ralph Heck on his farm two miles northwest of Carey cutting and hauling logs to be sawn into lumber for a new home. The house was destroyed by fire February 22.
