Finals Set for Interclass Tournament Night

Avonell Robison reports the finals to inter class tournaments will be played Tuesday evening. After the two games the Careys faculty will meet the Upper Sandusky faculty in a return game. The issue highlights the spirit of the big struggle and the efforts of the dig culture team.

Chapel program led by Louis Allen with visiting guest

Louis Allen led a Monday chapel program after noon prayer with a singing opening. Josephine Jacob and Mr Mitchell from the county YMCA led devotionals, joined by Mr John Warner, Ohio native now long resident in Brazil and Mexico, visiting the U S for World Brotherhood. Announcement by Mr Huffman. The service closed with Love's Old Sweet Song.

Junior Class Menu Served Today

The junior class served a simple meal including Jello escalloped potatoes hamburgers baked beans and milk. The event highlighted student activities and cafeteria offerings for the day.

Musical Trio Leads County Contest Preliminaries in April

Preliminaries for the county musical and literary contest will be held in McCutchenville in the first or second week of April with Carey, McCutchenville and Sycamore in a triangle. A mixed octette including Martha Stoody and Ruby Rothgeb will sing Sundown, and Jack Heck will perform a cornet solo. Evelyn Hosafros will play Berceuse, and Ruby Rothgeb with Helen Beebe will sing Lassie O Mine. The Soul of a Violin will be read by Tommy Stombaugh. Mentions of coaching by Miss Warren and Miss Rudolph, illness of Mrs George Newhidird, and a trip by Schuchardt and Robert McDaniel to Frndlay are included. Two silver basketball trophies will be awarded next Tuesday.

High School Art Exhibit Showcases 300 Reproductions

An art exhibit runs from Wednesday March 26 to Saturday March 26 in the high school auditorium with two sessions daily. About 300 pictures reproduce famous paintings in color and brown tones and black and white, covering many schools of painting. Tickets are 15 cents for adults and 6 cents for children under high school age. elementary pupils will sell tickets. The public is invited.

Death of Carl J Schneider on Philippine Islands

Mrs George Mathern reports the death of her brother Carl J Schneider on January 20 1930 on a Philippine Island. He worked for Tampa Inter Ocean Steam Co on a freighter and died of malarial fever at 42. Survived by two sisters and three brothers including Mrs Mathern and George Schneider. Body to be shipped home for burial with funeral at St Michael's church Findlay.

Mrs. Alexander Webb of Ohio Northern University lectured at the PT.A meeting on March 1, tracing art from primitive Reindeer Art through Grecian and Roman influences to the Renaissance.
