Schlachter Wins Medals at National Rifle Tourney in St Petersburg
Mark Schlachter earned three medals and cash at the National Midwinter Rifle Tournament in St. Petersburg Florida on March 14. He placed first in the 50 yard any sight expert class matches and second in the 50 yard iron sight match. Schlachter helped the Ohio State team to a third place finish in state team matches. The Yankee Rebel money match saw the Yankees win by eight points with Schlachter ranking sixth among northern state contenders.

State Route 103 Bridge Closed for Repairs
State highway maintenance forces will finish repairs on the bridge east of Carey on Route 103 in about 10 days. The 1916 bridge has been posted with 35 percent reduced load limits until the work is complete. Division Engineer Walter J Neidhardt announced the closure is for permit installation of a new floor and reinforcement of floor beams and truss.
