Bert Smith Fractures Wrist and Ankle in Plank Fall
Bert Smith sustained a fractured left wrist and left ankle after slipping from a damp plank about eight feet. He was taken to Findlay for X rays and returned home the same evening. Next week the Smith family will move from the A G Collet farm near Carey to the Crislip farm on Route 23.

Carey Teacher Fatally Injured in Route 28 Crash
Miss Virginia Pendleton twenty three, a Carey schools second grade teacher, died after a car went off Route 28 near Death Hollow. Arthur Williams suffered serious injuries. witnesses and officials described a fatal, icy bridge accident with several bystanders aiding.
