The M E church filled to capacity for the funeral of Jack W Lowery killed in a grade crossing accident last week. Rev Roger J Turrel officiated with Carl D Mitchell singing. Carey High School members attended, pallbearers were Senior class members LeMoine Fagan Robert Mac Daniel Dean Baker Gene Theis Tho burn Baker and Austin Walter. Burial in Carey cemetery. Born March 7 1912 in Bartlesville Oklahoma, he was the only son of George and Hazel Lowery. Survived by his mother father and two grandparents with several relatives from Healdton Tulsa and Lorain attending.

Returned from 12,000 mile West South auto trip
Maurice Ruehle and Leo Fox came home Tuesday night after an eight month journey through the West and South covering nearly 12,000 miles. They saw the Pacific and Atlantic oceans and bathed in the Gulf of Mexico. In Tucson they stayed with Mr and Mrs Miles Mitten for several weeks. They tried to be self supporting but work was scarce. They found the trip enjoyable and hope to travel part of the itinerary again next fall.
