Rossford Defeats Carey 44 to 35 in Protest Tourney
Rossford high school won the Fremont protest tournament with a 44 to 35 victory over the Carey Blue Devils. Kralik and Wagnar led Rossford with 15 and 12 points as Carey battled back in the second half but fell short. Two Car Crashes Near Carey Injure Minor Property Damage
A 16 year old, Eugene Fletcher of route 1 Carey, sustained facial cuts when his eastbound car collided with a W J Smith driven auto as he turned right two miles east of Carey on route 203 at 5 40 pm Saturday. Both cars suffered minor damage and no serious injuries. A separate crash on route 130 east of Carey involved Mrs Edna Tanner driving onto the highway from a driveway and William Dow of route 4 Upper Sandusky. both vehicles sustained property damage in the 1 1/2 mile crash at 1 40 pm Sunday.

The 1948 Carey Community Institute drew more than 2000 attendees across four sessions held Thursday and Friday in Carey high school auditorium. Judge Frank C. Bowers led talks on The Angelus and parenting, then wills and community betterment, with Judge Russell H. Kear introducing him at the Friday session.
