New Ford School Bus Enters Service For Carey District
A 54 passenger Ford school bus, purchased from Lanning Motor Sales, went into operation last Thursday morning. Driven by Chet Platt, it serves a new east Carey route, while the district reorganizes existing buses to ease crowding. Our Lady of Consolation parish owns one of the 54 passenger buses, and the public schools now operate three 48 passenger buses and four 54 passenger buses.

Three Carey Men Questioned in Thefts
Frank Smith 43 Glen Avenue Ed Smith 36 Adam Street and George Roberts 43 Adam Street were detained by Carey police after electric wire and tools belonging to Carey village and to the Northern Ohio Telephone Co were found. Chef Henry Pieracim saw wires and solder in a car, leading to the investigation by Chief Hendricks and others. Deputies held them for lie detector tests and further countywide theft inquiries.

Mullholand and Heck Injured in State Route Collision
James E. Mullholand proprietor of Mullholand Plumbing Shop and Sherman D. Heck were injured when Mullholand's 1949 Chrysler sideswiped a truck and trailer on State Route 199 near a bridge. Mullholand suffered facial lacerations a eye injury and a concussion. He underwent surgery in Toledo and may return home soon. Heck sustained a knee laceration and abrasions and was released from Fostoria Hospital.

They chose Glo sheen kitchen curtains with a white background, floor length pull drapes for Homemaking, and bamboo brown curtains with white lines for the sewing room. The bamboo drapes are chosen to modernize the old room and will be shortened to fit then used as covers for sewing machines.

The Pony Tail Pushers clinched the basketball championship after a tight finish that left the Page Boy Passers tied atop the regular season.
