Orchestra Rehearsal Shifts For Tournament Games

Lutheran Lenten Services Begin With Facing the Cross

Thursday night services start at 7 30 with the pastor discussing Facing the Cross in 1933. The Queen Esther choir will sing and women’s chorus practice follows after the service. Regular choir rehearsal is Saturday at 8 with W T Platt Jr directing the cantata. Sunday services are canceled for March and cottage prayer meetings will be held in members’ homes.

Funeral services for Mrs Millie Coldren Benz, who killed herself in a North Baltimore hotel, were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Rippeth Funeral Home in North Baltimore. Burial followed in the village cemetery. She was sister to several residents and daughter of Albert and Mellie Coldren with many Hancock County relatives.

Peoples Bank Restricts Withdrawals Under Emergency Rules

Peoples Bank imposed a 5 percent withdrawal limit on deposits every 30 days for 60 days with possible extension by the state superintendent of banks.
