A Friday morning fire at the Harvey E. Clark farm near Vanlue leveled a 40x72-foot barn and 40x60-foot warehouse, damaging a 12-foot cement block storage building. Conservation Men Fly 50 Mile Air Tours Over Wyandot County
Eleven men connected with soil conservation in Wyandot County joined four 50 mile aerial tours last Thursday. Photographer Joe Newhard documented two flights while pilot Richard Burwell of the Ohio Aviation Board highlighted farm ponds grass runs French silos villages crop lands and other conservation features. Newhard noted agricultural lime production in Carey quarries and many farm ponds and trench silos in the county. From the air the wildlife run at the State Game and Wildlife Preserve near Carey appeared as a lane and two Route 30 bridges south of Carey were under construction to straighten a highway jog.

Superintendent W E Blake resigns from Carey schools and accepts Logan Ohio, job as Logan city schools superintendent with a one year contract at 88500 annual salary.
