Local Investors Lose Hartley Oil Scheme
A report from Avyandat County details the revocation of Thomas J. Hartley’s dealer license after exposing a scheme. Hartley organized over one hundred $30,000 companies to lease farm land, taking $10,000 from incorporators in Alvada and elsewhere with no leases or stock profits delivered. He targeted farmers, formed companies, and moved on, while investigators show no legitimate sales or development of leases or territories.
