Catholic Missionary Arrives Safe in Hong Kong for California Flight
Sister Rosaire, Dominican missionary daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Balland, is safe in Hong Kong awaiting a plane to California. Five Dominican members who served with her in China arrived at St Mary's of the Springs near Columbus. A letter from Sister Rosaire recounts perilous retreats through war zones as refugees fled while soldiers patroled the routes. She expects to reach California within weeks and sends love from Hong Kong.
