A 17 year old Carey youth has been charged in the theft of auto parts from a location about 154 miles east of Arlington. Police stopped a vehicle matching the suspect description on Tuesday evening at 5 40 pm and detained several youths for questioning before releasing the youth to his parents. The case will be transferred to Wyandot County for a hearing.

The Carey Fire Department answered two recent blazes. On June 6 at 2 14 p m an auto in a West Brown Avenue garage burned with fourteen firefighters extinguishing the blaze and saving the structure. The auto owned by Larry Dible was badly burned and the cause was unknown. Early Wednesday morning firefighters also doused a minor brush fire near Water Works Park with a full report pending.

Rosa Summit 85 former Carey resident died Tuesday at the Order of Eastern Star Home Mount Vernon after a month as patient. She was born February 2 1882 in Wilburg Germany daughter of Frederick and Rose Summit. Survived by nieces and nephews five brothers and a sister all deceased. She belonged to Christ Lutheran Church and the Order of Eastern Star. Services 2 p.m. Friday at Bristol Funeral Home with Rev. George Cresemean officiating.
