Hanging of Tiffin Youth
An 11 year old boy Kenneth Nye was found hanged in his bedroom in Tiffin. Sheriff Dysard said the death appeared accidental as he climbed a radio cabinet to attach rope to a wall nail and slipped into a rope loop. The rope was not tight around his neck and rope burns indicated a fall into the loop.

JayCees Start Mosquito Control Job
The Carey JayCees launched a three fogging mosquito control program for the village with Campbell Pest Control of Lima handling the first night’s work. Escape Serious Injury In Collision Near Carey
Mr and Mrs Ray Taylor and children Michael and Sandra of 419 W Findlay street escaped serious injury after a southbound car collided head on with one driven by Grover C Pingle route 1 McComb. The crash occurred a mile southeast of Carey on Route 23. Bristoll s ambulance transported all injured to Blanchard Valley hospital for examination. The patrol filed suit against Mr Pingle for reckless operation.

Former Carey Girl Injured In Seaside Car Crash
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hodge of Seaside Oregon are hospitalized after an automobile sideswipe Saturday. Mrs. Hodge is the former Marilyn Gibson daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Gibson of Carey.
