Parish hall and auditorium to rise at Christ Lutheran church
Construction starts on a 34 by 60 foot parish and Sunday school building with basement and two stories. The project includes remodeling the current facilities and a 150 seat expansion by merging the old Sunday school room into the main auditorium. An eight room adult wing, a kitchen, stage and lounge are planned with a Tudor Gothic limestone auditorium and grey brick parish hall. Estimated cost is 40000 dollars with completion hoped by October.

Tie falls on Adrian man injures Hocking Valley worker
On Monday Wl Warren of Adrian employed on the Hocking Valley section was seriously injured when a tie fell on him. He suffered several broken ribs and a cut on his back and is feared to be seriously injured. He was taken to Upper Sandusky for examination and later returned home.

Carey high school students in the vocational agriculture program have built an excellent record against statewide competitors. Lyman Baker John Dow Ralph Pontius and James Yohe won a trip to Chicago for the International Livestock and Grain show while Baker Feck Pontius Romig Brown and others earned scholarships and prizes. The judging team and individual placings at the state fair highlight sustained success and promise in future competitions.
