Will Celebrate First Mass for Roderick Orians Friar Minor
The Reverend Roderick Orians will celebrate his first solemn Mass at 10:30 a.m. Sunday June 7 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation. Vespers and benediction follow at 3 p.m. An ordination to the priesthood by Archbishop Edmund F. Gibbons will be held June 6 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Albany. Fr. Roderick, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Orians of near Carey, will be honored with a reception on June 7. He was known as Paul Orians before joining the Franciscan order.
