Choir and Orchestra to Perform at Memorial Evangelical

The Upper Sandusky Trinity Evangelical church choir of about 18 voices directed by Mrs. W. E. Stephan and the high school band directed by Bret Huffman will give a Sunday evening concert at Memorial Evangelical church on June 4 at 8:00. The program includes hymns meditations and choral works with organ trumpet and quartet, featuring pieces by Tschaikowsky and Zamecnik and a festival march. Reverend W. R. Shisler will offer invocation and benediction.

Go Slow Mary stages delight at Our Lady of Consolation

The Dramatic Club of Our Lady of Consolation Church presented the comedy Go Slow Mary to large Sunday and Monday crowds in the Catholic hall. Cast members included Elizabeth Myers Caroleen Dow Rosemary Kramer Margaret Haford Mary Louise Mullholand and others with Arthur Brown directing music and an instrumental quartet for the second performance. The club thanks the actors and musicians for a thoroughly enjoyed show.

Granddaughter Married in Toledo Ceremony

Mrs. Edward Gibbs attended the wedding of her granddaughter Miss Audrey Parris of Toledo to Mr. Louis Pointinger of Toledo. Rev Wynn of the Methodist church performed the single ring ceremony at his parsonage. Miss Parris is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Parris and has often visited Carey where she is well known.

Earl Green Post announces weekly summer dances at Carey Park starting June 8. The American Legion will run the events on the park plan with good music. The park dances have long been a Legion tradition and met with success.

Big Four official reassigned to Indiana divisions

W. H. Lytle, longtime supervisor of Big Four bridges and buildings here, is transferred to Anderson Indiana to oversee the Michigan division from Anderson to Elkhart and the Springfield division of the Peoria and Eastern from Indianapolis to Springfield. C. E. Nichols of Bellefontaine takes over local work in his existing territory with Lytle reporting June 1.

Thomas J Noon obituary notice from Carey Ohio

Thomas J Noon died Saturday at 12 50 PM at his home on South Muncie Street after heart trouble and dropsy. He was born April 1 1867 near Plain City Ohio and died at 66 years 1 month 20 days. Survived by wife Catherine Rummel and six children, three brothers and four sisters, five grandchildren. He worked at Buckeye Stave plant then National Lime and Stone Co where he became superintendent of the lime department. Funeral Services for Miss Dorothea Whaley

Funeral services were held Friday at Crawford Methodist Church for Miss Dorothea Whaley of Toledo who died last week at St. Vincent's hospital after an operation. The Rev. Tal Madge officiated.
