Death of N. J. High at Carey on Dow Street
N J High died Thursday at 11 00 am at his Dow street home after two years of poor health and cancer. Born September 15 1860 in Van Wert county he lived most of his life in the community and 41 years in Carey. He married Anna Long in 1885 and had one son Lawrence. Survived by a widow two grandchildren and a sister Mrs Margaret Cook Toledo. Funeral Sunday Memorial Evangelical church with Knights of Pythias and Moose attending in full regalia. Interment Spring Grove cemetery. Pallbearers from the two lodges named Frank Slemmer Elza Jacobs R H Kurtz Harvey Sopher Ray Ogilesbee E D Moore. Out-of-town attendees listed.

Death of Frank DeWitt in Hood River Oregon
Mrs Nora Graves received a telegram announcing the death of her brother Frank DeWitt in Hood River Oregon. He died of a cerebral hemorrhage at Pendleton hospital at age 65. Born in Carey he lived here until 44 years ago and is survived by his wife one daughter Mrs Arvo Hukari and one grandchild all of Hood River. Funeral and burial services will be held today in Hood River.
