On Tuesday August 4 a joint outing of Boy Scout Troop No 3 and Our Lady of Consolation church servers met at Meadow Brook Park Bascom. Thirty six attended with Father Paul Father Edwin and Scoutmaster Henry Pieraccini. Activities included salutes games and songs followed by two base ball games and swimming. A noon feast satisfied the hungry group and a 7 pm weiner and corn roast capped the day as they returned at about 8 30.

Two Die in Grade Crossing Accident Near Alvada
Two men, C A Herbert age 56 of Alvada and Daniel J. Wickerham of Fostoria, were killed when a Chesapeake and Ohio freight collided with their Ford coupe at a grade crossing on Herbert road near Alvada.
